cheap las vegas hotel rooms
Has anyone got any tips on how to make a stay at a las vegas hotel great!?

WE are staying at the encore (WYNN) in 2 weeks time and have speant loads to be there.

What things (other than spending loads in casino to get minor comps) can we do to have an amazing time that cost little or nothing?

Any ideas on how to blag, sweet talk staff into freebies or cheap things, how to get upgrades or better rooms on check in or how to get on the good side of the maid who will service our room for 10 nights.

Finally, any other perks to be gained and secret top tips that get people on side to have fun in vegas.

Thanks all – have a great day

Money talks here in Vegas. Many people here rely on tips to survive. The better the tip the better the service. That is how high rollers do it .. they tip everyone. It doesn’t have to be gigantic amount like the high rollers give but if you are known to tip ( it does get around quickly ) they will be falling hands over heels to serve you.

Maids change during your stay so tip every morning. A nice tip placed on the dresser with a thank you note will get you a lot of extras. If you wait until you check out then the maid may be just that one day cleaning for you and the one who cleaned everyday gets nothing. So tip daily, do not wait.

Cocktail waitresses should be tipped good every time they bring you your drink. If you tip good then they will return with your drink faster and often to get more tips. The lower tips will be less often and usually last to be delivered. I only order bottled water and I tip good. The girl started putting lime in my water as a nice gesture and as the night got busier she starting bringing me two at a time because as she explained that she was getting busy and wanted to make sure I didn’t run out of water. Yet the guy next to me would only get one drink.

Valet parking tip. When you leave your car tip the valet and he will park it close and in the shade. When you return he will want to get your car before the others in line. When he arrives the air conditioning will be on and running. Tip him again … it is worth it.

Shuttle drivers also work for tips. If you catch the same shuttle during your visit make sure you say hello and be friendly. Tip when you leave but make sure the driver sees you putting the tip in the bucket. Just tell him it was a great tip and to have a nice day and you will be looking forward to the return ride. They may have discount coupons or tickets that they give out to their special riders.

Being nice, tipping and don’t look down on service people will get you a lot.
